A small Australian farm nestled between the Bellinger River and Hyde Creek.
Rural but only minutes from town!
We live on Bellingen Green with as small a carbon imprint as possible and our aim is to leave a farm that is healthier than when we first arrived. We are doing this by:

Using no harmful chemicals on our fields and our fruit trees and vegetables only have organic sprays used on them - and only when really needed

Many species of birds as well as microbats live here and we are encouraging them with roosting boxes

Our stretch of Hydes Creek is a reserve for the local paddle of platypuses (yes, that's what a group of these delightful creatures is called!)

Our Paulownia Wood (Paulownia tomentosa) along the Bellinger has been established because it is capable of significant C4 carbon fixation, its nitrogen-rich leaves provide good fodder and its roots prevent soil erosion

We are working towards being fully off-grid and today we have almost 100 solar panels and 27kW of battery storage operating on the farm. We're also now a Virtual Power Plant feeding back to the grid

All water on the farm is from our 60 metre deep bore and is delicious. No treatment is made or needed

Septic systems process and recycle all waste back onto the farm via a network of underground channels.

Enjoy undisturbed views over the Bellinger river in either our fully equipped four double-bedroom house, or the cozy EcoShed. Both are located on 32 acres and just 4 minutes from town. Each property has outdoor dining, a fire pit, river access and stylish interiors.
Planning a family vacation? You'll be sure to feel at home in this recently renovated Federation Cottage from 1918 featuring a verandah entertaining area with retractable fly screens and a spa bath.
